The Offseason: Improve your set-up position
By Swingpal.com staff
On each Wednesday since the start of November we’ve been running video segments as part of our Offseason series to help all of you keep working on your games during the winter months.
The series will be coming to a close next week, but we have two important segments to get to before we wrap things up.
And this week, we look at something that often goes overlooked by many golfers, but it’s of vital importance to your golf game, and that’s how you address the golf ball.
In this video, Swingpal instructor Jim Williams shows you how to check to make sure that you’re in an athletic, balanced position as you set up to the ball and that your posture is correct.
Those things might not seem overly important when it comes to the complicated physical movements that make up a golf swing, but if you’re not getting set up correctly, making a good turn away from the ball and getting the club swinging on plane are going to be problems that you‘re likely to have in your swing.
So watch this video and check your set-up fundamentals. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t be solid in this area, and if you are you’ll have a much better chance of playing great golf in 2012.
