The Offseason: Maximize your shoulder turn

One problem that many golfers have when it comes to their swing is the inability to generate enough shoulder turn in their backswing.

This almost certainly is the result of inadequate flexibility and usually what ensues for the majority of golfers who deal with this issue is a lack of power or compensation moves to lengthen the backswing, such as lifting with the arms.

In this edition of our new series The Offseason, Swingpal.com instructor Jim Williams takes a look at how you can improve your shoulder turn and correct some of the mistakes that are taking place in your swing as a result of limited flexibility.

Williams will show you how you can test your flexibility level when it comes to making a full turn, as well as provide you with fitness drills on how you can improve your mobility.

Take a look at this video, and work on these tips. You’ll make a better turn, improve your golf swing and add more power to your game.
