Three Swingpal instructors make top-50 list

Three Swingpal instructors have been named to the prestigious biennial Golf Digest list of America's 50 Best Women Instructors.

Karen Palacios-Jansen (No. 16): Karen was selected as the 2008 LPGA National Teacher of the Year and has been teaching golf since 1994. Currently the Director of Instruction at Swing Blade Enterprises in North Carolina, Karen is also managing editor of Golf Fitness Magazine. Karen has appeared numerous times as a guest instructor on Golf Channel programming and has conducted clinics with Hall of Fame golfers Gary Player, Nick Faldo and Ernie Els. She has worked with LPGA Tour players, and she also developed Cardiogolf, a golf specific exercise program.

Kate Tempesta (Tied No. 27): Kate, founder of Kate Tempesta’s Urban Golf Academy, is a member of the LPGA, Teaching & Club Professional Division and the Director of the Junior Golf Program at Montauk Downs. Kate works with a variety of golfers of all ages and abilities. In 2010, Golf Magazine named her as a “Top 40 Most Influential People Under 40”. She was also voted on by her peers to Golf Digest “Top Instructor in New York" in 2011.

Jamie Fischer (No. 38): Jamie has been involved in the game of golf since an early age. Growing up in Ohio, she was a two-time junior champion and she qualified for the U.S. Women's Open at age 18. While attending the University of Texas, Jamie captained the nationally ranked women's golf team, was the 1991 Southwest Conference champion, and was named an Academic All-American. From graduation until 1995 she played professionally. In 1995, due to injury, Jamie turned her attention to teaching. She was the first teaching professional at Nantucket Golf Club upon its inception in 1998 and a Master Instructor at the Jim McLean Golf School.
